Pip Constellation Guide: Rules, Tips, and How to Win

Pip Constellation is the celestial member of the Super Pips collection: instead of a grid, you're working across a night sky of connected stars, and the puzzle rewards a mix of spatial reasoning and arithmetic.

The goal

Connect the stars in the sky by linking nodes together. Each possible link between two stars carries an arithmetic constraint — the values at each end have to satisfy a specific relationship (such as a required sum or difference) before that link can be confirmed. Work through the constraints correctly and the full constellation lights up.

How to approach a board

1. Identify the most constrained star first. A star with only one possible valid link is your safest starting point — much like a forced single in Pip Cross.
2. Work outward from confirmed links. Once a link is locked in, the stars on either end often narrow down what their remaining connections can be.
3. Don't ignore isolated stars. A star that looks disconnected from the main cluster usually has exactly one valid partner — find it early rather than leaving it for last.

Tips for faster solves

• Scan the whole sky before making your first link, the same way you'd scan targets before your first tap in Pip Cross.
• Watch for symmetry — constellations are often designed with a visual balance that hints at which stars are meant to pair together.
• If a link you made turns out to block every remaining star from finding a valid partner, undo it immediately rather than trying to force the rest of the board around it.
